About us

A fabless design house from Indonesia, building for emerging markets.

Founded 2018 in Jakarta. Engineering offices in Bandung. Customers across Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, and the Middle East.

Antikode Sub Ops was founded in Jakarta in 2018 by a team of engineers who had spent the previous decade designing chips for Tier-1 fabless houses in Singapore, Taipei, and Seoul. We came home with a specific belief: that the silicon needs of emerging markets — Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, parts of Africa and the Gulf — are different enough from the Western consumer mainstream to deserve purpose-built IP, and that an Indonesian design house could build it more cheaply and more sympathetically than a foreign-headquartered vendor.

Eight years later, that thesis has held up. Our flagship Antikode RV-32IM embedded core is in production at fifteen customers across consumer, industrial, and automotive. The AnyVision-AI accelerator IP powers smart-camera SoCs deployed in agricultural monitoring stations across Java and East Nusa Tenggara. We have delivered twelve customer ASICs on TSMC 28nm / 22ULL and GlobalFoundries 22FDX, with eleven first-pass-functional. Cumulative shipped volume of designs using Antikode IP crossed 220 million units in late 2025.

What makes us different is not exotic technology — the design tools and PDKs we use are the same ones every commercial design house uses. What is different is the engagement model: tight coupling with the customer, transparent technical reviews, fixed-quote scoping where most of the industry gives ranges, and a willingness to take on FPGA-to-ASIC and silicon bring-up work that the larger houses consider too small.

We employ 64 engineers across our Jakarta and Bandung offices. Our verification team is the largest single discipline, followed by RTL and physical design. We hire heavily from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Universitas Indonesia, and we run a paid internship programme that has placed 23 graduating engineers into permanent roles since 2020.

How we work

Silicon-proven, not slideware

Every IP we license has been through at least one customer tape-out. Datasheets reflect measured silicon, not synthesis estimates.

Transparent reviews

Customers receive weekly technical reviews with the engineering team — not just program managers. If a schedule is slipping, you hear it the week it slips.

Fixed-quote scoping

Where it is possible to scope deterministically, we quote a fixed price. We carry the contingency, not the customer.

Working on a chip project?

Whether you need a silicon-proven IP, an FPGA-to-ASIC partner, or a verification team that can close on schedule, we would like to talk. Most engagements start with a one-week structural audit.
